I needs to craft...

I've continued making small but true progress in the cleaning of my apartment. I took apart the living room and cleaned it, got rid of about 3 garbage bags worth of junk (and the kids didn't notice, whoo hoo!) and donated three shopping bags of books to Alex's preK (and more to come... and they didn't notice that either, double whoo-hoo!). Onward and upward.

So with Rag Shop going out of business, I bought a bunch of really cool fabric (I'll scan and upload soon, I'm blogging from Jersey at the moment) that I have no idea what to do with. But I'll find something (e.g., I'll beg Stacey to come over and do something with me). I did buy this excellent Hawaiian shirt-patterned fabric that I turned into a cafe curtain for the bathroom window. How exciting is that? Piss off, it's exciting for me.

Another thing I bought a ton of is sewing patterns. And you know what? I have no idea WTF to do. "Easy", my freaking foot. I need the Rosetta Stone to decipher these things; they may as well be written in Phoenecian. HELP!

I'm knitting like crazy, having discovered a LYS of my dreams in Jersey (see More Coffee Please for details). With payday coming tomorrow, and one more day left in Jersey for me, I think I may have to wander back in and see what else I can procure for the gargantuan knitting projects I've assigned myself.

My 3-year old nephew is an avid Wiggles fan, so I've decided I'm going to find really vibrant blue, yellow, red or purple yarn and knit him Wiggles scarves. Because of course, I need another knitting project...

I've got to split and get these kids to a park; my uncle is MIA and we're all going a tad batty indoors. More to come.

Summer Cleaning...

My home is drowning in clutter again...
