Kids Cook!
Will is on his way to becoming the next George Duran. He loves to cook and gets a big kick out of watching Ham on the Street with all the wacky things he comes up with. So when we got our flyer from the Alley Pond Environmental Center and I saw two workshops called Little Chefs, we jumped on it and signed him up. How much fun will this be? And the price is most definitely right.
Little Chefs
APEC Junior Chefs will cook up APEC Junior Chefs will cook up mouth watering Cinnamon Roll-Ups, topped off with a delicious Strawberry Milk Shake. All materials are included.
Did you ever wonder if Dr. Seuss really ate Green Eggs and Ham? Well our little chefs will prepare their very own delicious breakfast of Green Eggs and Ham. All materials are included.
The classes are only $14 each for members of APEC and $18 for non-members. Check out their site - they also do great kids' birthday parties (animals, walking tour and crafts - you bring your own food but there is a local pizzeria that is very reasonable and tasty)!
If you're trying to get your child interested in cooking - or if he/she is interested but you don't know where to start, I can't recommend a breadmaker highly enough. There is no way they can hurt themself on one. You measure out all the ingredients, they pour everything in and set the timer. Will started cooking with one when he was 3 and makes a wickedly tasty cinnamon- raisin bread.
